Alain DELAUNAY

Alain Delaunay is a loner and individualist. He works in the Campagn’art painting studio for hours and hours without saying a single word, totally concentrated on what he is doing. He often uses a document (photo or drawing) as a basis, interpreting it according to his mood. In his works there is never a line too many, as he immerses himself in the essential. He sometimes cuts things out or add things that are not in the initial document. Once the drawing is finished, he goes over it in pencil. He then adds layers of colours in every direction.
