Christiane BODEN

Christiane Boden tirelessly depicts the same characters, yet identifies each one distinctly. She favours oil pastels but also carves her characters in clay. Using decisive strokes, she creates archaic figures, lines and pseudo-writing. Her spontaneous incisions further accentuate the obsessive nature of the artist's gesture. For Christiane, material and technique are by no means a priority: it is the representation that predominates.
