Jeroen HOLLANDER
(Belgium, 1976-)
The channels of communication of Jeroen Hollander (Belgium, 1976) are public transport lines. He has been collecting plans and maps since his early childhood, and when he has to represent a city, he does so through the transport networks. More or less true to reality, his maps are pure inventions or inspired by cities actually visited. Because Jeroen travels only by train, tram and bus. His maps have undeniable plastic qualities which earned him the Young Belgian Painting Prize in 2009.
