Pedro RIBEIRO

Pedro Ribeiro (Atelier Le Sésame, Brussels) produces his large characters that seem to stem from gestural painting at the Sésame centre, where he attends the painting workshop twice a week. The assistance of the workshop leaders can prove valuable to them in the choice of contrasted colours in particular, which enable Pedro to distinguish the different superposed traces in spite of an impaired sight. His painting work is characterized by a succession of layers, revealed in part by tears, a finishing touch he puts to his creations.
