Yves D'ANGLEFORT
(France, 1954-)
Yves d'Anglefort's work is an amusing and ironic explosion of colour. The artist has fun with it, and so do we. Using recycled materials – sometimes even banknotes – he composes a world in metamorphosis, where shapes merge, accompanied by mischievous annotations. Drawn in black felt-tip pen, his little characters – with names inspired by the Middle Ages, the Crusades, or angelic spheres – encounter hybrid beings born of more or less accidental forms. In 2024, on the occasion of the CASH exhibition, in collaboration with the Le Moineau Écarlate gallery, he donated the following work to the Art et marges museum.
